Perhaps you've heard of fractals--those crazy, self-repeating patterns that seem to get even crazier the closer you look at them. In this talk, Alexander Paulin, lecturer in mathematics, explains the most famous fractal of all: the Mandelbrot Set. You might think such an explanation would require a lot of advanced mathematics. Amazingly, all we'll need is addition, multiplication, and a good deal of imagination!
