Obesity is associated with mortality in the general population, but it appears to be related to better survival in people with certain diseases. Patrick T. Bradshaw, Ph.D., Martin Sisters Endowed Chair of Medical Research and Public Health and assistant professor of epidemiology, will discuss this controversy in the field of cancer epidemiology.
